The silicone boil-over preventer reliably keeps your pot under control – whether for pasta, rice, or milk. You place the Kochblume boil-over preventer on the pot like a lid, and it simply guides overflowing water back in. This keeps everything clean, and you can relax and attend to other tasks. An uncomplicated boil-over preventer for pots that makes cooking stress-free.

How the boil-over preventer works

The boil-over preventer works completely without technology or valves. As soon as the contents in the pot start to boil and the foam rises, the flexible silicone flower gently lifts. This creates a controlled outlet for steam and pressure. At the same time, the flower catches overflowing liquid, briefly collects it in the hollow, and directs it straight back into the pot. This prevents the typical "boiling over" the rim. No intervention, no annoying turning down the heat, no wiping the pot in between. You put it on once – and it keeps the process stable, no matter how vigorously it's working in the pot.

The Silicone boil-over guard is heat-resistant up to 260 °C, dimensionally stable and completely BPA-free. The material stays elastic, doesn’t stick and withstands frequent use. Cleaning the boil-over guard

The boil-over guard made of silicone is dishwasher-safe. So you can wash it without any problems if it gets dirty. The inner part can be removed and cleaned separately, as shown in the picture, and this also lets you reach every corner. In most cases, however, it should be enough to rinse the boil-over guard under warm or hot water (if the Kochblume was used as a splatter guard and has grease on it) and let it air-dry.
